Castiel says Dean’s name (Seasons 4-8)
Castiel has lived thousands and thousands and thousands of years. Dean’s entire existence is no more than a blip of time in the millenias of Castiel’s lifespan. Cas knows every word in every language man has invented. Yet I don’t think there has ever been a word that has meant more to him than ‘Dean’.
Cas isn’t allowed to drive the Impala because he crashed it.
Like, actually crashed it.
Sam once nicked the paint job when he opened the door and it hit the wall. Dean didn’t speak to him for three days- and that was after cussing him out in the parking lot of a gas’n’gulp so that everyone in a three-mile-radius could hear.
Cas crashed the car.
As soon as Cas realizes what’s going on—what the queasy feeling in his stomach means, why he can’t help smiling whenever Dean is around—he tries to tell Dean right away, but the words won’t come out. It’s because Sam is here, Cas thinks. They are at the dinner table, after all. It would probably be uncomfortable. I’ll mention it sometime when Dean and I are alone.
On the subject of Destiel.
“Dest” is Latin for “lack.”
As we all know, “-iel” is the suffix for “from God,” or “Of God.”
Congratulations you literally named a ship “Lack of God.”If you watch the show, it’s incredibly accurate
When Castiel sees him for the first time, the entire world stops. It slows down first, just enough for Castiel to see the darkness cloud Dean’s once clear green eyes. He logically acknowledges that this is what happens when an angel is first in the vicinity of a demon, but it’s hard to wrap his head around.
That Dean; his soul, his very essence, has become twisted black smoke.
That Castiel couldn’t save him.
“Cas?” It sounds like Dean when he talks, but Castiel is wary. He’s weakened and tired and drained, and though his stolen Grace—what little is left of it—is screaming at him to smite or run, Cas finds he doesn’t want to.
Moreover, he can’t.
Because no matter what Dean is, at the bottom of it all, he’s still Dean.
you must be so in love, so in love that even as an angel the person you still care about most is the unbeliever.
au where cas is totally inept with all the things technology and his computer won’t work so he made an appointment at apple to get help from an apple genius. (inspiration from the lovely kyra).
He sat at the genius bar with his computer open to the lifeless black screen and fiddled with his phone as he waited for his appointment time. The digital numbers on the clock changed to 3:00 pm and he felt a tap on his shoulder. wow, prompt he thought, as he swiveled around to face the apple genius.
His breath caught in his throat as he’s met with tanned skin and sun lightened brown, almost golden, hair. Green eyes- like, really green eyes- eyed him behind thick black glasses.
“Are you,” the genius consulted his phone,“uh, are you Castiel?” He smiled warmly at Cas and tucked his phone back into his pocket.
“Um, yes. Yes, I’m Castiel, I have an appointment for uh, for my computer.” He nodded his head toward the black screen. “It won’t turn on.”
“Well, I guess that answers if you’ve tried turning it off and on again.” The genius laughed. He pushed up his glasses and stuck out his hand. “I’m Dean, by the way, I’ll be your Apple Genius for the next hour.” Castiel took the offered hand and shook, a small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
Kid!Dean carving his and Castiel’s initials into a tree - ‘DW + CN ’ because they’re going to be best friends forever.
When they’re adults, Dean finds the tree again and carves a heart around their initials because now Castiel Novak is Castiel Winchester.
